Have I just found a new way to flatten my batery ?

Popped down to Tesco for some provisions and for the first time in ages put the blower on as the screen was misting up a bit. Park the car and get some provisions . Get back to the car and the blower fan is still merrily whirring away to itself. Is this unusual or are they all built that way ? (94L).

I'm very please I didn't put it away in the garage and leave it for a few days

Any ideas ? I have thought about adding a buzzer (possibly related to the lights left on). Would this be possible ?

My '95 N reg'd heater blower only works with the ignition on. I always have it switched on the low speed. I would suggest lifting the top of the dash and fitting a ignition controlled live instead of a permanent live (assuming that's what you have here).
