Mark ,I dread to think what your insurance costs are in Dub !!!Never seen a Tiv in Ireland despite having worked over here for 6 years . With Dub traffic ,hope your cooling system is good .

Mark ,
I'm an Aircraft Engineer working at Dublin airport . Only here during the week , spend weekends and holidays at home in Cheshire . Best of both worlds really , are you going to be in Dub permanently ?

Mark,
My cousin is a motorcycle cop in Dublin and when I was over with my Chim in 2000 he told me that he’d only ever seen one in Dublin, so I doubt there’s much expertise around.
I’d be interested to know if you’ve looked at the cost of taxing it yet, as if my Mom’s 1.8 Escort diesel is anything to go by, it’s going to cost lots.

Hi, there is a TVR service agent in N. Ireland , does all the cars up here . Great work & not hard on the pocket . contact David or Greg Connelly @ Torque Flyte Tel :028 9752 8991.
I run the club in the North , you will be surprised by the number of TVR's in the South .

Hi Colin,
I am surprised, how many do you think are in the South?
How do they get on with them (especially with the state of the roads)?

There is around 20-30 cars in the south . At least 4 Cerbera's , 4 Tuscan's , 6 Griff's and 10 Chim's as well as a number of S / Wedge's and the older models. They are pretty will spread out, but have been running around for years .
If you live in the south you know the good roads and there are plenty of them , you just need to find them.

I’m glad to hear it.
Do most people take their cars to the North for a service/repair then?
Any tips on the good roads for when I’m back over again?

A few will take them North for service some to England, as for the rest who know's .
A great road is the back road from Dundalk through Slane on down to Dublin.
Markh tried to contact you but your email is up the left .

Booked you in . There are about 16 -20 cars , 5 -7 cars out in the afternoon sessions , we only stop for 30 mins for lunch , all marshalling is done by those attending and by me & my Black Flag . All attending are regualar track day boys& girls at Kirkistown so that pace laps at the start of the day are pretty quick .
Have you done many track days markh? You will enjoy this one .

No this will be my first , have some days at Thruxton and Mallory Park in 'school' cars (E-type, Aston , Single seaters etc) so should be fun.

On another note insurance seems a bit higher in the North than the England can you advise me

I am currently looking into it as mine is up on 5th Feb, at the moment I am with Priv, but looking around for a better deal as I always do . You will find that the car insurance in the North is a right rip off compared to the rest of the UK.
I will let you know in the next few weeks .
