Well the TVR bug has well and truly bitten.. test drove a BRG 400 on saturday and left a deposit (of cash, not on the seat!!)

Not half as terrifying as I expected to drive, very fast but very easy to drive.. It was sat on the drive, looking pretty sexy as I arrived and once I turned the key and blipped the throttle that was it!!!

It was soooo much easier to drive than I expected... The only other 'sports' car I have driven was an Elise and I hated it..... As soon as I dropped into the full hide interior and fired her up I was smitten......

It's a BRG 97 R with 20k, FTVRSH, AC, full two tone green hide, pale green dials, old style rear lights and plate but new everything else.. Lots of alloy buttons and it just looks the b*llocks...

It has griff 500 alloys which I am not that keen on - Probably see them in the classifieds soon!

I can't get over how short the gear throw is and how long the throttle action is!! I thought I had floored it and looked down to see only 3200rpm showing!!!

Just need to get shut of mine and away we go!!!

hugh,

Well done, I know when i 1st got in a chimp, it felt so snug and I was impressed by how easy they are to drive.

Hope you have many happy years of fun!

I got it for £16k in the end which I am very pleased with considering the full hide and AC.... There is the usual scratches on the rear wing from the roof, but apart from that it is a minter.. HPI is OK just hope the full inspection comes back OK too...

Very reasonable!

I've been looking at prices alot over the past 6 months or so as I intend to buy around March/April this year.

The spread of prices never ceases to amaze me with anything from a 50,000 mile L reg to a 20,000 R reg available privately for £16,000.

Just got to hope there are some scorching deals about when I'm out looking

hughjayteens,

I might be interested in those grif alloys, if the price is right. I want a spare set, so won't be selling mine.

Macca - Let me see how much I can get some I like for and I'll let you know - They have 4 good S02s on them so how much would be a fair price?
