I have seen several adverts for front light conversions on both Chimaeras and Griffs to look like Tuscans. (Team Proactive and Zertec) Has anyone had this done and if so, was it worth it?
How is the beam adjusted at MoT time and can the filaments be changed without having to rip out the new pod?
I am interested because a front end respray is usually included in the deal which would cover 2 points in one go - funky new lights and a chance to get all those stone-chips sorted!
FINALLY! the thaw - time for a

I've had them done at Team Proactive - huge improvment in brightness.

See the Headlamp Upgrade thread from July last year

the headlamp conversion to twin lamps is a vast improvment. the new hella lamps are much brighter and totaly transform night driving. the lamps are easily adjusted through the panel in the wheel arch as is the replace ment of the bulbs.
speak to tvr bodyshop.com , they do quite a few.

cheers , macky.

sorry - want I meant to say was when I bought the car from TP they had it done as part of the price.

Still I don't think the cost is prohibitive - worth giving Adrian a call on 0121 344 3400 (they do a lot)

So what will it cost at TVR bodyshop?

I need new headlights and a front end respray so I am tempted.

Prices are on their website at www.tvrbodyshop.com
But ring them up for firm quote 'cos if you've got pearlescent or rosso paint, it'll be expensive.
Bear in mind that a whole front end respray would be about £500 WITHOUT the lights conversion so the whole lot WITH the lights is £975 inc VAT. (zertec wanted £1150!)
There's a 2 week waiting list too; they need the car for 2 weeks but give you a curtosy car free.
