Nice drives in berkshire????

Only been down here for a little while so does anyone know of some nice roads to take my chim out on when you dont want to go anywhere just go out on a mad afternoon and scare yourself for a bit?

go out towards Kingsclere (near Newbury) and then find the whitchurch road, i think it is the best road in Berkshire - brilliant visibility, nice long straights and some complex bends

Or try the Alton rd down to Portsmouth also good.

Or the A4 out past Hungerford, just watch out for mobile speed traps (especially on race days at Castle Combe in the summer).

Also: Basingstoke to Newbury on the A339. Great but you have to do it when it will be clear. e.g. Sunday morning. Lots of "overtaking" opportunities for no good reason other than to enjoy it!

yep, live between Theale and Woolhampton just off the A4 near the canal.

You must try the Kingsclear to Whitchurch rd, i had it reccomended to me by a Ferrari owner ...the first time i drove it I just chuckled...it is like a race track (altough obviously i do not condone speeding...
