I've got AC on my 98 Chim. Is the AC always on or can you turn it off. Doesn't seem to be a switch - It really does have AC (very rare I know) but have check under the bonnnet. Or does it just kick in when the temp dial is set to a very low temp?

It's been a bit chilly recently to have the AC on, and since I've only had my Chim for a month I haven't actually used it!... but the manual says the AC comes on only when you move the temp dial to 'as cold as it will go'. I guess you regulate the temp with the fan speed.

Wouldn't mind knowing how to regulate the temp generally...

Can't wait for those hot summer days... preferably not stuck in traffic!

If you push the temp "wheel" as far to the cold end as it will go you should hear a "click" as the AC comes on. You may also notice a slight change in enginge revs. As far as temp control goes there is none only "On or Off" !! You can only regulate the amount of cold air using the fan. Sounds a bit naff but I am very glad I have it. South of France driving (even with the roof off) would be a nightmare without it.
