Mine's in the boot just in front of the spare. It's relatively easy to get at and change the CD cartridge, protected by the spare wheel and doesn't really take up any 'useful' space.

Mine's high up in the centre right out of the way. Don't ask about the cables though?

I put mine on top of the petrol tank on left hand side. I pulled the carpet off the top of the tank to find a piece of wood on top of it! Not sure if this is a standard TVR fit, but I screwed the changer down on it after checking how far to drill. It is well out of the way there and works perfectly. Cables for the changer (and 2 rear speakers that I fitted into the rear vents) run down the left side of the car with the rest of the wiring loom - and then under the passenger side carpet and behind the dash. Did it myself rather than trust a teenager in a shop.

Mine was fitted to the car when I bought it. Its mounted centrally on the bulkhead that separates the cabin from the boot, above the petrol tank.

Do you have to be careful about what fixings you use? Is the fuel tank at the back of the spare wheel? If so I presume you can't fix to that. The dealer reccommended that the unit is installed behind the passenger seat for easy access but I favour putting it in the boot for security if nothing else.I want to fit mine over the Xmas break, but the last thing I want to do is stick a self tapping screw through the the fuel tank!

Try not to block the vents with speakers - it will make the ventilation less efficient with roof on an windows closed.

mine was right at the back of the boot next to the locking mech. the cable ran under the carpet.

Mine has the rear speakers too - fitted by the previous owner, presumably. I have a vent between the two speakers, so I guess that does the job of the two standard vents that were where the speakers are now.

I ran my cable from the unit to the side of the boot and along the central console then under the dash.

Cheers everyone, Jason, how did you fix it in, is there anything in that cubby hole to screw it to?

Uh, I got a fitter to do it.. I`m afraid I`m not a mechanical electrical person...

I think it is actually Velcro`d in or something like that.. IF you are in Essex I can get the name/No. of the guys that fitted it.
