I have the pleasure of the first and only Chimaera 500 in Singapore (and at the moment the only TVR in Singapore). Its just had the first service by a company that has no previous knowledge of TVRs, but is getting support from the TVR factory in Malaysia. The car is ok but the throttle is remaining open when you depress the clutch. My experience with TVR ownership (Cerbera 4.5 in UK) shows a drop off in revs that then bounces back up to idle speed at 10K when you depress the clutch, or change gear. This remains up between 12 and 22K. The car then overheats in traffic, and the fule burn is very high.
Can any of you suggest a fix as I am very much on my own out here and would appreciate some help. Cheers Bill

When I had all sorts of idling problems, over revving & cutting out, a new stepper motor fixed it. Standard Land Rover part. Any TVR dealer will know the part number and I'll bet there are more Land Rover dealers than TVR dealers in Singapore!

If the car is fairly new try cleaning it first.

I think Adam means clean the stepper motor, not the car ;-)
