Can't believe it!

Parked my beast in the work car park which was empty yesterday morning... a b@st@rd milk delivery truck reversed into the front of it twice and then denied that he did anything!

He had witnesses, and we even caught it on the CCTV camera, and yet he still denied it! Over £400 worth of damage to my baby!

Not only did he do that to my car, but he took the wing mirror off of a Corsa while driving into the car park!

How the hell do these people get driving licences? I should hopefully get it sorted out through the Dairy insurance.

I have REAL bad luck with Tivs in December! This time last year my last one got written off! Argh! Not taking it out the garage until next year!

Look what he did!

At least now I have finally also added a picture to my profile! Not a bad shot if I do say so myself!

Doesn't look too bad. Check for stress fractures all around the impact and further back.... However it will probably mean that the car will be off the road for over 1 week.....

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Leave the car for at least a week to allow any latent stress fractures to appear. If the plonker is still denying his responsibility. Take out a summons via the small claims court against him personally. He might then decide to own up and let his insurance pay up.

If he was using a Milk Van during the course of his work then I think the Dairy is vicariously (sp) liable for his actions.. Call them..

Same happened to me last weekend - parked in safeways carpark for about 15 mins and some tt hit the wheel arch and drove off leaving some bright green paint behind !!
The boy for paintwork and repairs is Tom Horsburgh near Farnham Surrey - real perfectionist and loves TVR`s - has done a superb job on my Chimp - cannot recommend him too highly.

Grrr. Makes you angry. Some idiot ran into the back of my Porsche scratching the rear plastic skirt's paintwork.

So I'll be spending a weekend soon polishing it out.

"My foot slipped on the clutch. Sorry".

Grrr.

Not sure exactly what you mean, but to convert the old Fiesta style lights to the newer cluster (which is what I've done) costs around £300, although the dealer did mine for now't.

Cheers for your sympathies fellas! I have a horrible feeling that it's going to take a long time to get them to pay up though.

Luckily, nobody has really even noticed the damage because of where it is on the car. It just looks like a reflection!
Cheers for the info Neal, Surrey is a bit far though. I got a quote from the TVR Centre Coachworks and they will pick it up and deliver it back wherever I want, plus give me a courtesy car!

Will let you know what happens!

Sorry should have explained more about lights. I have the later round lights, but I thought you had rather funky brake and side lights like new jags (look like lots of led's) that is what im after do you know anything about these? and do you have them? and do you know how to solve this verify thing on emailing and how did you get a picture of you car on profile? sorry for all the questions but you seem to be in the know.

Hi Only Me,

I know what you mean about the lights, but that's not my car. You might be thinking about Sher Singh's car. That's the one with the 'Afterburner' LED light conversion. Have a look at Sher's profile for some pictures:

www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?h=0&memberId=12854

You can purchase the lights from Clive at Zertec (www.zertec.co.uk) but you'd need to find out about costs!

I don't know what could be wrong with your e-mail thing, but to put a picture in your profile you need to upload it to some webspace, and then put the link into your profile page.

I'm sure PetrolTed can help you some more if you're having problems though!

Good luck!
