clonking feel !!!

I have a strange clonking feeling under my left arm (like some one hitting metal pipeing together slowly) when I engage first gear or reverse for that matter (don't seem to notice it in any other gear but maybee that because the car is moving) doesn't effect the car in any obvious way but still a bit concerning the car is a 98R 4.0L and is still under warranty so I am not really that worried but would just like to know what it could be before I take it in and get the "they all do that sir" standard TVR reponse for anything they don't understand

Possible loose or broken diff mounts? They do need tightening up from time to time. I expect this would be most obvious when you go from acceleration to overrun and vice versa.
