Out of interest. Is there anyone here who has gone back to a TVR? I sold my Chimaera back in April after 18 months and 23k miles (problems - 1 broken door catch) I am now suffering serious Cold Turkey!! This may sound crazy but it actually feels like an addiction that only a noisy blast will cure. Luckily I am not tormented by many TVR's driving round here in rural Norfolk - Only Range Rovers and people carriers!! I think the time is nearing to start making my Bank Manger nervous!!!

Sold my Chimp in 1996 after 30k miles and thought I could live without.
I was doing fine, just the occaisional weepy moment on a sunny summers day but I was feeling strong. At least I was till I took a friend to Team Central for a mooch around one lunchtime 24 months later. 3 weeks on and I became the owner of a luverly 400se. Still got it. Wifey not amused, but as I said to her, " So I do TVR's a bit, I can handle it!"
And even now, I still sneak out to the garage just to look at it and think MINE ALL MINE!!!!!
Face it: It's a Lurv thang. Just stop pratting about with the guilt trip and go and buy yourself one. You know it makes sense.

After I wrote off my last TVR this time last year I brought a new BMW 318ci.
I had it for three months and then took a black chimp out for a test drive on a beautiful day with the roof down, "just to remember what it was like to drive it again".
Guess what I'm driving now?

I too bought a BMW and like you Wolf I have been tempted to go for a test drive - just for old times sake. But I just know that I will buy it afterwards so I am avoiding TVR dealers at all costs. I keep checking this site to see if new owners like SpookyBuzz are getting nothing but grief so I can feel safe in the knowledge that all is well in my BMW!! (Don't get me wrong Spook, I hope all is well and bad luck with that mindless tw*t) But everyone on here seems to be out there having fun - Bugger!!! (Please no reply's to that last comment from Speed 6 owners)
