Talk about weird, I was stopped at some traffic lights, when a police car with two officers in it pulled alongside me (I assumed to turn right at the lights). The officer in the passenger seat rolled his window down and indicated that I should do the same. At this point, I got that sinking feeling that a brake light was out, or I'd been caught speeding, and it unnerved me further when both the officers were smiling (sneering) at me. I politely asked what the problem was, and the bloke in the passenger seat said:
"Nothing's wrong, no problem. Just wanted to look at your car. Smart!"

Now, with me being the ever-suspicious and cynical type, I was watching the rear-view mirror for minutes after, expecting the tell-tale woo-woo-woo, but none appeared. It was slightly surreal. Wonder if they'll be as nice when they pull me for doing a ton in a thirty zone??? lolol

Thats top notch I reckon Spook, they could have added something complimentary like 'nice cornering' or 'sharp overtaking move' though in order to repay your kindness at letting them drool!

I worked in the motor trade for a while and amongst other things the company that I worked for controlled manufacturers demonstration fleets. We had a mock up Vento VR6 Police Car that they were trying to flog to some constabulary or other, that was much fun driving from site to site in that.

I once got offered a 15 minute swop. My Chimaera vs a very large, very red Fire Engine.

Bloke (quite rightly) chickened when I said YES on the grounds he'd lose his job.

Pity.....
