I have a 93 'K' 430 chimaera, generaly very pleased with the car but recently overheated (at Duxford day) because fans wouldn't cut in even with the over ride switch on.
Checked fuses etc. all ok then started working again.
The near side fan always comes on first followed 30 seconds or so later by the other. But sometime the the second fan does't come on at all or neither come on.
Some body please help its driving me mad
The car has air con (not working low gas) has this something to do with it.
Any body now what relay controls the fans and where to find it.
Also fans only run with the engine running not with just the ignition on.
Thanks.

\lthough iam griff 500 i believe we are very closely related! i know there was a mod to stop the fuse blowing on early cars.this was a simple delay for one of the fans so as to stagger the current draw. so as it was a tvr approved mod maybe the dealer is best to sort you out. i have a quite different two stage cooling fans system, but thats an old story.
sorry to be of not much help.

There was another mod, putting each fan on a separate 30amp fuse. Team Central did this on mine, never been a problem since. I think this was a more satifactory mod than staggering the fans on the same fuse.
