yesterday, i drove about 100 miles, and at the end, stopped to jetwash my car. afterwards, it ran like a dog. this has happened in the past, due to pointing the jet through the bonnet slits, cos i knew no better. however, i avoid that now. now it's spluttering all the time, even though i left it over night. i've just wd-40'd the plugs etc, hoping that it was water somewhere, but no better. the only thing i can think of is that i let the tank run low before filling, and something is in the fueln system. however, i did nearly 100 miles after re-fuelling, and it was fine until i stopped for the jetwash. any ideas?

I had this problem, took me ages to track it down to the air intake pipe which had a tear in it at the front of the bonnet. Now this was on a griff so it might be different on a Chimp, water would run down the bonnet on to the air intake pipe, go through the tear and end up on the hot wire sensor causing stuttering and hiccupping
