Central Locking Problem

Hi Guys

Went out this morning for a nice sunday am drive and the chimp (96 4L) would not open - alarm was being turned off by the fob but the door was not being opened - not even a sound of the central locking doing its stuff..

Anyone got any ideas whether this is a knackered central locking etc..

please help..

I just had the reverse of this (i.e. wouldn't lock), turned out to be a combination of a) knackered solenoid b) circuit problem between Foxguard and door mechanism.

new solenoids and some sort of bypass circuit have sorted it out.

I'd start with the solenoids..........

Cheers chingford - its booked in on thursday for them to sort it out.. even picking it up from the house.. cant fault that.
