Evenin all...

Not one to really complain about much, I don't wanna go on, but here's the deal...

Took my car back to the dealer to get the following things sorted out:

1) Dodgy starter motor.
* GOOD - Fixed, and engine running much better!

2) Strange crunching coming from clutch pedal.
* GOOD - Fixed, much smoother!

3) Alarm going off by itself all the time.
* BAD - Still going off by itself!

4) Upgrading my old style lights to the new cluster type things.
* BAD - Completely forgotten about the light conversion!

PLUS...

5) They lost the faceoff bit of my stereo! (Even though it was the pants original one, still now have no music!)

6) A DIRTY great bit CUT in the leather of my armrest about an inch long!

7) Car was FILTHY when I picked it up! Was clean when I gave it in!

Maybe one of them will read this post, you know who you are if you do! I won't name them yet... at least give them the benefit of the doubt again and see what they do to compensate me.

Still, not as bad as Renault dealers though...

Here we go again...

Never mind the dealer reading it here, what have they said in response to your complaint? Did you take the car back or leave it there for them to make amends? Why haven't you mentioned their response to your complaint?

It's is not wise to use the threat of naming and shaming a dealer to resolve problems. More often than not this just exacerbates the problem.

Hi Ted,

I took the car back, basically 'coz I have to get to work and they didn't have any courtesy cars.

They said they'd call me about it tomorrow and that they were really sorry, wich is fair enough.

I just cant believe that they can be so careless when looking after a customer's car. To loose the radio and cut the leather is just out of order.

You're right, it's no good to name them. Others may have received great service from them and this may be a one-off!
