Ok, we all know the pump may need re-priming afterwards. Who's done this (and changed filter) what's the best drill? Oil first, then filter, other way round, both together? How long for pump to drain down to the point that re-prime necessary? Info appreciated.

V8??...just four TL1000s zip-tied together, innit!?

Check http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Peter_Beech/TVR/Index.htm.

I'm not a herbert -- maybe a less aggressive approach might elicit more responses.

Aw c'mon M...just teasing (you must have a sheltered existence if you think that's aggressive). Anyway, I might have felt a bit more guilty about my intemperate request if you had actually posted a link which answered the query (informative though the workshop notes are)...next time just say you dunno and neither of us will waste our time, eh?

Do it quick, drain it off, change the filter and fill it up. If you leave it overnight to drain you'll get air in the pump and it'll need priming. All this is just what I reckon BTW, but at least you have a reply this time :/
