Hi folks,
I've been looking through autotrader ads for chimeras, and I've been pretty surprised to find sub 14k chimeras by the bucketful. Typically this means I am looking at 93 - 94 models with 30 - 60k miles on the clock. It seems cheap enough that I am fairly suspicious, especially when a browse around dealer websites doesn't yield anything less than 20k. Are there dealers out there who will give a prospective buy a good once over and how much would it cost me?
Cheers,
Ben M.

They just are that cheap.
A dealer will look over the car for you at their normal hourly rate. The dealer I've used - Mole Valley - now have some fixed price for this as they get asked for it so often I guess, but normally it is £50 per hour, and would take around 2hrs to check. Well worth the money.

Yep, thats just how much they are worth. Sprint magazine is full of 94 cars for loads more money, but I doubt any are selling. If the dealers are asking 20K for them I doubt they're selling them either.

I'm thinking of selling my 94 400, its absolute immaculate with one previous owner, 40K and FSH, but I doubt I'll get more than 14K for it.

Its not just TVR's that are cheaper of course - the second hand car market has been in the doldrums for months now.
