I got some new tyres yesterday and although I ordered them 4 weeks ago I could only get SO3 tyres which have a different tread pattern £83 inc vat for fronts £107 rears (each). Has anyone any ideas on them apart from they look slightly different with a fatter sidewall?

They seem to have less rubber on the road -- good in the wet but not in the dry -- but other than that, on my Chimaera, they held up well on a track day recently. -Manek- Edited by manek on Tuesday 2nd October 23:44

I've run 2 sets of SO2's on the Rear & 1 set on the Front. Just come to change the front, and been told, SO2's are no longer available.. Put SO3's on there.... One word for them.. Crap.. (Sorry Mr Bridgestone). I drive the car fairly hard, Milton Keynes is hard on front tyres. And they undrsteer everywhere. The SO2's used to grip when pushed, and my chimp never understeers. Now it does, changed pressure's and everything.. Still no front end grip.. Try and find some SO2's.. jj
