I can't get the Central Locking to lock, either via the alarm/key fob (alarm arms itself ok) or manually through the console knob (can open the doors no problem). Is there anything else I need to check other than making sure the courtesy light door sill switches are being depressed (and that the magic rubber pads are still in place) ?

I had a problem a while back with one of the servos that operates the door mechanism. Could on open the door other than from inside the car. This meant various contorsions with my arm to drop the roof to getting into the car to open the door from the central console. Just a thought ;-) pb

Thanks guys, Paul you seem to have had the reverse of my problem. If its the solenoid, (rather than a missing rubber pad at £1) anybody got a feel for the cost to put it right ? Thanks in advance

Don't know about the cost because although my car was out of warranty when one went Potfields didn't make a charge for the replacement which took about 30 mins to do. Rich...
