Wiper parking...

Rain over the last few days has revealed the wipers on my 97 Chim parking occasionally lower than usual. Drop so that extremity of nearside one rests on wing top in front of screen...concerned this will mark paint and wondering if anyone has encountered this? Cause/cure? V8??...just four TL1000s zip-tied together, innit!?

mine did this, on mine it was the drive cable snapping cables and streatching.. eventually it snapped all together. you can find out by taking the wiper arms off, undoing the 2 nuts that hold the braket down that holds the motor in place ( captive bolts) undo the big nut on the drive cable where it disapears into the body and pull the motor and cable out. you can then inspect the drive cable. Not sure if you can get just the cable though as mine snapped and the motor went tits up at the same time!!!!! to replace it just shove the cable back in the outer and then bolt everything back on..
