My chimp 4L 96P hood - where the velcro attaches the hood to the car is curling a bit and the velcro doesnt seem to be doing its job as it used to. Is there anything i can do to stop it getting worse or is this a norm? thanks James

I changed the 'spiky' bits on mine - quite a simple job. However, you'll probbaly need to remove the hood to make it easy. If you take the hood off you'll find the nuts from the hexagon screws are a little fiddly to put back. There is a void between the boot and the cabin which is a little awkward to get your fingers in when replacing the nuts, keep trying and you'll get there in the end. Go to John Lewis, they sell velcro about 2 inches wide. The spiky bit is sticky on one side but you need to pop rivet it on otherwise it will peel off quite easily. Paint the rivets black, hey presto - job done.

My velcro did this, So I went around with a pair of fine tweezers and picked all the bits of sponge, flies and fluff from the hookey bits, it made a world of difference.
