Car stereo wiring origin

Not quite sure which connectors you mean. If you mean what's left on the front of the stereo when the flipfront is removed then all I know is that back then they fitted a Pioneer radio cassette combo. Pioneer may be able to help, but I suspect the model has been superceded. Someone may have put in a newer model stereo anyway.
If you mean the connectors at the rear which plug into the stereo ... then good luck as I haven't a clue. I fitted a Pioneer KEH735R CD head unit and had to snip/connector block it all together. What TVR provided as standard was a mess anyway.
If I were you I’d get the new stereo if you are replacing it then find out what type of connection you’ll need, most are simple to fit, yellow goes to permanent live, red to ignition live, black earth blue is the remote lead, these seem to be standard to most aftermarket head units. With a voltmeter test your existing multi-plug to pick these up.
Yeah, but I think our man is looking for which adapter to kit to buy converting a 30pin widget 22 into a 16 pin sprodget xt.
Surely a car stereo outfit will recognise the connector block? If I had to guess I'd say you'd find something similar in a Vauxhall of 1993 vintage such as an Ashtray or Cavalier.
