Had my first prang in the Chim last night. Fortunately not much damage but a 10’’ section under the drivers front wheel arch will need repairing and some paint scratches will need to be touched up. Anyone recommend a body shop in the North London/Essex area. Thanks in advance. Anto

tower view racing is your best bet. just off staples corner. they've god a good reputation for bodywork, even though i haven't had to use them yet.

PR Wood in Southend, have a look at the website http://www.tvr-prwood.co.uk/home.htm , admittedly I've only had my windscreen on the Griff replaced there , but they seem to know what they are on about and specialise in TVR/Lotus body repairs, nice blokes too, chatty and knowledgeable.

If you can get the car to Bristol, give Webbs a go. They've got rebuilding my Chim 450's arse after it decided to swap ends. Webbs, are highly aclaimed on the this site. Certainly get my vote for customer service. Steve

Cheers Steve, I'll give Woods a go first and then might look at Webbs. Mine did the same as yours, but what saved me was the fence I hit was made of Chicken wire, which took the impact and stopped me going into a ditch. Thank God for cheapskate farmers. The funny thing is I hit the fence with the rear end, but the damage it to the drivers front wheel arch. Go figure! Anto
