I have a summer 1996 Chimaera with a factory Meta alarm. I find that the alarm is not sensitive enough. With the roof panel out and the rest of the hood up, I can reach into the vehicle for as long as I like - and only when making exaggerated movements does the alarm finally go off. I understood that the ''box'' to adjust the microwave was under the transmission tunnel. ( I could not find how to get the door release off to remove the panel completely - but peeking below with a torch I could not find any alarm box). Any one give me any clues as to where next to look - and what exactly should I be looking for? Also, where are the microwave emitters/sensors fitted am I right in thinking they are in the trim over the windscreen? Any help would be most appreciated.
