I've got a set of gaz gold shocks, I assume the original shocks are still under my car so a bit refreshing is never a waste of money.
Is there someone who can inform me the distance between middle bolt till upper adjustable ring?
This so it will already be around normal ride height.

Must the adjuster be pointed to the wheel or engine side?
Thank you for your help and enjoy your weekend!

Not sure about the height position , but on my Protechs, the damper adjustment knob faces into the car. Makes it easier to reach up behind the wheel and adjust it when out and about (you’ll no doubt work out the settings through trial and driving)

Every car will be different so you will have to fit them and then adjust which is a pita sadly.
Used to be settings floating around here of roughly 150 mm rear and 140 mm front, measured at outrigger corner to ground. Some would cut wooden dowels or similar at those heights to make measuring easier.
Its beneficial to let someone familiar with setting a TVR up loose on it with regards to checking the geometry when your done, can make a big difference.

Over 2 weeks I will bring my car to a specialist here in nl to replace the outriggers, on one side the outrigger is pressed upward so I can not use this as a base. This is why I was hoping for the distance, probably I will use the wheel arches as base. Of course the wheel geometry will be adjusted when he's there.

You can use the bigger box-section chassis rails for height checking - the wheel arches are not a reliable place to measure unfortunately.

This was the factory fax I used as reference when setting the geometry on mine:

If they came with the C spanner (a half circle with a handle) then adjusting them is easy.
If they didn't, you will need to get one.

They look like this and you can find them on Amazon, but you need to gte the correct size.
This set of 6 is only about €15.

I have ordered these 2pcs from gaz, they are not expensive. Today I swapped the set, a bit more work as expected but I've managed all in time. If someone wants to know the approximately settings for original ride height, with mine it was front 2,5cm of winding til underside of upper adjusterring and 4cm at the rear. When I'm getting him back from outriggers replacement I will make the fine tuning, now it's sort of leveled in same way as with the original shocks.
