Ok so my rack has been leaking from the passenger side into the boot for some time. I'm trying to fix it in place and I have the circlip and metal plate out. Now I can see the seal but how to get it out? 🤔.. The end the of steering rack has a 60mm bolt end on it presumably to take the whole end of the rack off. Does this need to come off to remove the seal?? Any ideas welcome 🙏 😊

I don't know the answer, sorry, but you could call one of the specialists to see if they're willing to tell you.
At worst, they won't, but I suspect they might.

Kiley Clinton is one of the preferred companies.
Mine was refurbed by Lawfield Engineering, but it looks like they have closed.

Pretty tricky in the car to be honest so i would remove it, ive never stripped one but that 60 mm nut does come out to reveal a seal, it may be fecking tight though and have loctite on it.

The spool can be removed repaired/re-sealed rack in situ but the rack/ram end seal I would want the rack removed from the car scratchchin and yes the end threaded cap is often thread locked (Loctite etc) by someone that hasn't heard of moderation frown

It may benefit you to crack that 60mm while its still fixed on the car if you have the sockets to do it.

I would recommend buying a new end nut. Heat the end up before trying to undo the nut, follow my guide on the tvrcc page will help you. If your in bucks area I can loan you the socket and bits.
