I think others have experienced this issue:

I replaced my Ford Fiesta units with aftermarket afterburners, but now when I lock the car, the alarm 'chirps' about every other second and after about 10 seconds or so, the alarm goes off!

On the left rear of the car there are two ground wires. One seems to feed the tail lamps and reg plate illumination. Do I have something plugged into either ground that's pissing it off?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

I cant think of anything that would cause this, i would just verify all the connections are correct. Maybe pay particular attention to the indicators.

I'll whip out the Griffith/Chimaera bible and try to make sense of the wiring diagram. Thank you for your advice!

Guessing they are supposed to be plug and play?
Most issues on these cars are due to poor grounds.
