My First TVR - Exporting a 450 to Australia
Discussion
Got the itch to own a car I'd loved in my early 20's and this was further prompted by my new neighbour owning a Chimaera. The problem was I live in Australia and they are very rare and hardly come up for sale.
So I decided to pursue the export path and bought an excellent 450 from James Agger which has had a full engine rebuild by Powers and chassis off refurb.
10 long weeks went by as I tracked the ship across the world, but it landed a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. Small issue with a window motor which James was kind enough to ship out a replacement part.
Few things to do to pass Australian compliance rules later this month but the love affair has begun!

Bit of a coincidence, a very recent thread in this area was asking about the issue of imports regarding asbestos. Perhaps you can advise a fellow aussie?
