I need to replace a brake light bulb on my 1999 T Chimaera 450, and having pulled back the velcro''d section of carpet I have no idea what to do next! There''s a rubber boot for each light in the cluster, which looks like it needs to be cut to gain access to the bulbs. Surely not? The "bible" doesn''t have any more info on this subject. Help appreciated !

If it's a 99, I assume it has the four separate round lights. On that basis, the rubber boots you are seeing should pass through a cover that I can best describe as resembling a jam pot lid. Unscrew this "lid" and the bulb holder comes with it, allowing you to change the bulb without cutting anything. Russell

I found that my 'jam jar lids' were quite stiff to unscrew but a brabantia kitchen aid for opening jars fitted perfectly and enabled me to change the bulb!
