Front upper ball joint removal
Discussion
A ball joint splitter.
At a push you can undo the nut until it sits flush with the bolt head and belt it out with a big hammer buts that’s a bodge and I’m not recommending that.
Mark the position of the old one in the wishbone before disassembly but you really need to get the camber set afterwards as there’s no guarantee the new one will keep the camber position accurate which can lead to poor grip and ruining either the outside or inside edge of the tyre.
If the geo alignment has not been done for years it’s a good idea to get it checked in any case.
