OK, I know this has been a thread before but it seems that I am a bit thick, I need to change the electrical part of the ignition switch. I have taken the covers off and I can take the end plug off of the switch BUT then it says to take out the two screws that hold the switch on, I can see one and can probably get it out with a very short slot head screwdriver but how the hell do I get to the one at the back? I assume that I have to somehow have to drop the assembly? If so how do I do that? E.G. what do I take off next?
Many thanks in advance.

There was someone on Ebay a little while back selling genuine GM switches for silly money (I purchased 2 for the spares box) you dont need to remove that back screw you take the one out you can access then tilt the switch away from the drive peg changed a few like this

Right now Christmas and New Year are out of the way I will give this a go, I hope that I only have to take out the front screw and give it a wiggle, sods law says it won't come off but still hears hopping. (:-)

Please take photos as you go and post back on here. Always good to see how it’s gone.
I’ve been pondering adding a hidden immobilising switch and the wire routes will tell me where I can do that…
