Lakewell Replacement Seat Covers
Discussion
6 -7 years ago I was looking for a trimmer to do a refresh on my 99 Chimaera interior, leather seat covers, central console, full carpet etc. I contacted Lakewell as one of my potential options.
The experience was good, no problem communicating via phone, really good English spoken.
I explained what colours I wanted and stitching for all items, their representative advised me they would send small swatches (about 25mm square) of the materials discussed and one or two additional to show the slight variants they have from their understanding of my description of the existing seat colour and carpet.
Within a few days a jiffy bag arrived with samples of all discussed, really professional.
To conclude, If I recall at the time the estimate was OK-ish when compared with others, no need to send and strip your materials, they said they have all templates, but it was important to confirm all details relating to age, model series etc. In the end I did not procced.
Hopefully you will find someone with more recent experience of what Lakewell have to offer TVR owners, I am sure the cost will have significantly risen.
Also, I am sure others will provide recommendations for trusted UK trimmers.

Have you thought about reconditioning your existing leather / vinyl?
Furniture clinic products are good. I did mine a few years ago and was very pleased with the results.
Need hands on but costs much less.

I thought about this originally but my drivers seat is pretty trashed, really badly worn, cracked with a couple of holes. A couple of trimmers I sent photos to suggested at least one panel would need replacing. Furniture clinic products are good. I did mine a few years ago and was very pleased with the results.
