The car has brand new power steering but I’ve noticed it is noisy at slow speed turns and on full lock, is this just a normal TVR thing?

Have you checked the level of fluid?

Some are noisier than others, when you say brand new do you mean the rack/pump and is it the oe system?

Mine screeches lightly at low speed.
Fluid is at the right level, though may need replacing as it's been there for 5 years or so.

It’s a new rack but as far as I can see from the history folder the pump is OE, so may need replacing at some point soon. Ive noticed today it quietens down once everything warmed up

Check the sintered strainer/filter in the res isnt chocked up with grey silt/metal from the pump , would certainly explain the noise change when the oil thins with heat , back flush it with gun wash/cellulose thinners off the car or better still replace it

That's a good shout, assuming that's only to be done when replacing the fluid...?
Is it obvious where to find it in the reservoir?

FWIW, mine had always been noisy on full lock, and over the years has had a recon rack, new hoses, new fluid and a new pump. I put it down to maybe some sort of pressure limiting valve in the pump? Dont recall ever finding a filter in the system though perhaps others know better.

I believe the reservoir has the strainer built in and cant be changed.
May be a good clean out and fluid change is the first place to start.
