Sorry if this has been covered before, but I am a new owner of a 1998 4.0 Ltr Chimaera.
The wiring between the mirror unit under the dash and the drivers door do not seem to follow the colour codes of any schematics I have.
The drivers door mirror only moves up and down on any combination of buttons. Near side mirror has no motors in, so not able to check that.
Is anyone able to supply me with a wiring diagram for this car please.

Steve-D at Southways in Fareham will be sure to have a wiring diagram (drawn by himself, as found on actual cars).

Nearside mirror has no motor, really? How do you think it moves otherwise?

Isn't that the wiring diagram for the VW Corrado mirror conversion? Totally different to standard "Citroen" mirrors.

Black Magic? I presume the Op means they are currently missing?

Seem to recall when I had my Chimaera mirrors would only move on one axis? There was a relay, in the door where it gets wet, replaced that and voila!

I had issues with my driver's door recently (1998 Chim 500). This is my wiring.

Thanks for the info everyone. The car is new to me and came with the near side mirror glass glued in on thick black sponge material. All the workings behind it missing.
Having had a quick check on the wiring colours, my car ties up with the drawing from bbbrimmer.
The relay that is in the door, when I find it, could also answer the problems I have. If that solves drivers mirror problem, then all I need is workings for the near side mirror shell.

If your car is like mine there is no relay in the door. All of the mirror logic/drive is in the mirror control unit which is mounted under the dash around the same area as the steering column. My issues stemmed from that, by moving it I was able to get the mirror movement back. I still haven't reliably sorted it, not sure if the issue is in the box, the connector, or within the loom connected to it. Suspect one the of latter two but as I don't move the mirror often I haven't investigated further yet.

Good luck!

Thanks for all the help guys, Drivers side mirror now working. Faults were corrosion in the plug and socket layed in the bottom of the door and two female terminals pushed out of the plug feeding the joystick.
I need to now find internals for the nearside mirror. The frame is intact and I have the mirror glass. Does anyone have pictures of motor/s, mounting plate etc. I cannot remove the glass on drivers mirror to look inside that. I think something is glued as the little locking lever won't budge.

I think I have a complete pair of mirrors coming available. Can you wait a couple of weeks?
