Looks like my o/side radiator fan has given up the ghost. It has blown a couple of fuses and the horn stopped working so I've disconnected the fan and run the engine up to temperature the near side fan cuts in and the horn still works I would like to replace the fan an original item so does anyone know what it was originally fitted to ie range rover etc thanks in advance Dan

He left after naming and shaming the company that refurbed his chassis which resulted in a bit of a slanging match.
He had a few issues with it.

i would give spal a call tomorrow just to ask their advice, most important part is the running current as you dont really want to put any extra strain on the Tvr wiring.

Hi as you warned my head is in a spin!!!! OE fans are va10-ap6-47a which if im right pulls 2600 m3/h called spal today and they recommended va10-ap10-61a which pulls 1542 m3/h which are around £60-£70 each .the only fan i can find that comes near the 2600m3/h is a va01-ap70/ll-36a which pulls 2780m3/h but draws 21.8 amps and cost £167

regards Dan

I cant find the specs on the old fans regarding airflow and full load current so its hard to advise.
If it were me id probably look at the VA10-AP70/LL-61A mentioned previously, not cheap i know but a critical component.
If you want to risk the cheaper unit they suggested its up to you, they pull less current so would be less of a strain on the Tvr wiring but the airflow is the unknown thing.

Use the dropdown menu to compare fans.

Hi
I've plumped for two VA10-AP50/C-61A airflow is over 4000 m3/H. The car was running fine on only one fan and I wouldn't have been none the wiser without the horn failing blown fuse as number two fan runs off the horn circuit
