About 3 weeks ago my car had no engine or gearbox in it.
I took a couple of weeks off work and fitted a replacement lower compression fairly standard 4.6
A new Pulsar turbo was fitted and i had to make some changes to the Megasuirt 2 ECU map to get it running.

I entered Street Weekend a while ago so had left a lot to do fairly late in the day.
This was a drag and drive event that was organised between Santa Pod and Melbourne Raceway in Yorkshire.
I trailered the Chim to the pod on Thursday to meet up with 81 other racers there.
We all raced the quarter mile and handed in our best ET time on the Friday.
Then we all headed to Melbourne 230 miles via 2 designated checkpoints en route.
I was first to arrive at Melbourne on the Friday to a nice round of applauds.
Most camped over the night then raced the 1/8th mile track for another ET to hand in before heading back to the pod Saturday afternoon via 2 more designated checkpoints. Then the same deal on Sunday to complete the mission!

I ran 12.2 Friday with overboosting ignition cut in all gears, ran 8.5 at Melbourne on street tyres then after a few tweaks ran a best of 11.1 at 124 on the Sunday.

There were some amazing cars entered including a number of Street Eliminator cars including Andy Bond in 'Ugly Sister', this is a 6 second car at the pod that runs over 200mph regularly.

Long story short my car completed the task racing 3 days in a row and over 450 road miles in between.
My total time of 31.8 seconds had me in 26th place out of the 82 cars.

It was a brilliant weekend and i will definitely be back next year to get closer to a total of 30 seconds.

Needless to say Andy Bond won te event with a total time of just 21.8 seconds!
