Chimaera resurrection
Discussion
Hi
I have a chimaera which for various reasons has been off the road for 12 months…
I am now keen to resurrect her..
The battery will be flat, as it was parked without a conditioner. Unusually, the bonnet has physical release catches (as the bonnet cable is broken) which offers me a way of getting in to the bonnet area without requiring access to the cabin.. (if that makes sense).
As a result of the above, I am not asking for a secret access method
Into the cabin, instead, I am asking whether there is a way to connect jump leads from an adjacent car into any (engine block / a.n.other) connection points under the bonnet and to then via power connection, enable access to the cabin and then replacement of the battery… I am happy to provide v5 / other ownership evidence to anyone, f2f or remotely, for any help anyone can offer?
Help gratefully received.
James.

Hi there,
I’m aware of where the battery is. (Forgive me) I was asking whether there is any way to resurrect the car via incremental steps from bonnet access (which unusually in my case is not reliant on cabin access as I have physical catches rather than a cable) that I could then step through by connecting power to e.g. engine block and alternator to then energise the alarm/central locking to then open the cabin and replace the battery?
