I bought my first TVR today, a 98R reg Chimaera 450. I''m REALLY impressed and I can see why you lot did the same. My last car was a 300ZX twin turbo. The TVR is better in every way. I''ve got loads of questions, but I won''t bore you with them all. My nearest TVR dealer is Fenhurst. Has anyone had good or bad experiences with them. Also, can anyone recommend a good place to have the targa roof panel re-covered. And lastly is it true the the foot pedals are adjustable. IF so, is it an easy job?????? I''ll be greatful for any advice. Thanks Andy AndyTiv

the clutch and the brake pedal move in and out on a screw thread, you just need a couple of spanners to undo the locknuts...

I've used Fernies for last 4 years, they have always been excellent for me. Lots of other positive reports around too if you look. Speak to Bryan, the service manager, he is very helpful. On the roof thing, look on the tvrcc yahoogroup, there was a thread there recently from memory.

Congratulations AndyTiv! I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I have over the last nearly three years I've had one. A word of warning: beware the siren voices telling you to upgrade: that way madness lies...:-) Edited by manek on Tuesday 17th July 10:09

The throttle is also adjustable. The assembly is bolted to the bulkhead through slotted holes. Not alot of people seem to know this.

Really? What assembly, the entire pedal box?

No, just the bits and bobs to which the accelerator connects. nb. Be careful when adjusting the clutch: if you're tall, and you spin the rubber bit into the pedal too far, you'll end up with so much screw thread sticking out the back that the clutch won't actually disengage...
