After cleaning it, to keep it supple and from cracking due to sun damage, you need add hide feed, cant remember the makers of the stuff I use, but after a few applications you really notice the difference. I was recommended it by someone who said to think of it Oil of Ulay for leather!, daft, but it was true. I'll get me coat. Edited by Dave_H on Monday 16th July 17:42

As far as cleaning leather - I believe that the very best and most 'neutral' substance for the job is Lux soap flakes. Make up a strong solution with hot water and get your rubber gloves on. Then use a very soft brush to work onto the leather surface without soaking it. Then wipe over with a clean damp cloth - and use a leather feed cream such as Gliptone to remoisturise the hide. Don't be too aggressive with cleaning as this won't clean the leather anymore. Also be wary of using too many greasy creams on the leather - they generally serve to clog up the surface and make it get dirty again quicker than ever. If anyone wants a good recommendation for leather repairs, reconnollising, recovering etc, check out Stephen Nash at www.leathercare-renovations.co.uk - he regularly works on Astons and Ferraris and is very reasonable. (Based Warrington). Well worth checking out their photos on here - you will be amazed what they can do - they are doing my Chimaera soon - highly recommended! Autoglym do a leather cleaner (from any motorists discount place or halfords) which worked very well on oily stains left on my Portland Grey hide by a mechanic. Whoops, I meant on my car's PG hide...
