I am having problems with My 96 Chimp''s boot, basically i know you have to be touch feely with it, but sometimes it just will not close properly and catch, it just clicks but doesnt lock.. anyone know if this is a problem or just TVR..!!! i.e. do i need to grease it get the dealer to have a look at it.. It takes me normally about 7 mins or so to actually get it to close. thanks in advance James

I had this problem, pull the trim away from the lock then cut away the carpet where it overlaps the metal strip thingy which wil stop it rubbing against the mechanism....if that makes any sense Edited by apache on Monday 18th June 10:37

Attached to the boot lid is the steel pin that meets the catch (can't think of the right word for it). This should be adjustable (2 bolts attach it to the lid). Have a play until you get a snug fit, it's as simple as that
