Being a new owner, can anyone suggest some basic tuning modifiations to gain a bit more power?

Well if you have a basic 4.0L the camshaft is probably a good place to start. There are a number of hybrid jobs, or you could fit a 5.0L cam without any mods (I think - don't hold me to that). Tuners have been mentioned a number of times in recent postings, they're better qualified to comment. A rolling road session is probably a good bet afterwards too. ... or you could spend some money on a performance driving course to learn how to extract more from the car in the first place. (For all I know you might be an ex F1 driver anyway!) T/.

Better still, if you have a 4.0l change it for a 5.0l

Or a hot 4.6l from John Eales -- which Tower View might be doing to mine at the end of this year's driving season...it depends on so many things. Well, one really. <kerching>

Interestingly a TVR main dealer has just quoted a mate 9k to upgrade from a 97P 4 ltr to a 99T 5ltr
