Early Chimaera rears were off a Granada or a Sierra I think. Fronts were from an Escort RS Turbo (Sierra 2.0L fitment too I believe, but the boy racer mags are more likely to list the former). From '96 on they upgraded the chassis/brakes to similar to the Griffith. There were other changes through the years as well ... Dealers will know exactly which you car needs.

thanks, think ill take them off and take a trip to halfords and see if i can find a match - dont really want to pay £55 for something i can buy elsewhere for £20 - but i suppose thats what owning a TVR is all about!!!! cheers Chris

Be careful, just because they're the right size and shape doesn't mean thy're the right spec for your TVR. You need 'fast road' spec pads with a temp rating of at least 600 deg C. They do cost more, and £55 isn't unreasonable. For £20 you will get cheap cr*p. Cheers, Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)
