Does anyone know what the resistance of the temperature sender should be?? - ive got temp reading problems, and ive just measure the sensor and its some 77ohms - engine warm (been run and allowed 15mins to cool a bit) - i beleive this should be a factor of 10 higher than this - can someone confirm - thanks v.much Chris

Join the club. I really doubt the accuracy of the temp gauge anyway. This is not helped by the fact that the gauge reading increases by about 10 deg whwn I switch the lights on! I'm presently having overheating problems (swirl tank cap lifts when gauge is reading 90 Deg!!). So I think it might be two things innacurate gauge (goes without saying) and fan switch switching on too late (if at all). The main dealer is looking at the car on Saturday so I'll get the low down on gauge accuracy & sender type (resistance) etc.......
