Yes and its now time I changed my picture on that forum, its two cars old now

I'm hoping that the car will prove as durable as it is fun! Not to mention the sheer pace

Yeah, you'll have lots of fun and the Atom 2 has had a lot of the original minor teething problems sorted out.

Treat it a bit like a racing car though - take a good look over it each time you take it out - the lack of vibration damping and general stiffness of the car means that things do occasionally get rattled loose.

When are you taking delivery?

Yeah, Reading is a bit far for Oulton Park unfortunately but like you say, handy for Ariel if you have any problems.

Dentz can't make 15th off to Scotland & need to get ready for the trip - but once I've got mine then you are only a short distance away & I'll be looking to get some miles in prior to trackdays...cheers , Ian

Insurance - can anyone give me details of who may be best - I've tried Footman James, but they don't give no claims bonus, which makes them possibly uncompetitive as I've got 2 policies with full no claims & can use 1 for the Atom

And I don't suppose anyone has managed to get track day cover??

I'm surprised about Footman James not being competitive, even without the NCB - did you go for a restricted mileage?

I'll be surprised if you can find another quote for less to be honest. Plus Footman James didn't mess around trying to work out what to class it as - as far as they're concerned it's a kit and they just need to know, the number of seats, engine size and value.

Also bare in mind that their cover gives you european breakdown as well which has saved me on two occasions now.

I insure mine with Aon under their classic vehicle insurance - 01384 552743

Premium is c.£493 pa plus track day insurance which costs £25 per trackday (excess goes up to £2k though)
