Yes good luck Ross with the MOT, I noticed one of my headlights is pointing at a funny angle when I went for a spin last night, I also have a failed brake light, oh yes ,the indicator assembly fell off as well, a small price to pay for such a great day at mallory.
I went on Reillys site a couple of minutes ago and they still havn't been posted.
Bruce, I notice you are down for Snetterton in June,I may come with you .

Was it the bracket that broke or something else? If the mark 2 is still going to have indicator stalks snapping that's something Simon's going to need to address.
I don't normally run with headlights so I've just thrown them on for now, so will need to adjust them at the MOT.
I emailed Reilly's - they say they should have them up by 6pm tonight.
Ross.

Hurrah, passed, only a couple of things they pointed out.
The braking force on the front driver's side brake seemed to vary a little as the wheel rotated - no big deal though.
A very small amount of play in the top front ball joints.
At the back the driveshafts needed tightening to take up a bit of slack as the driveshaft nuts hadn't been fitted very well to start with (in fact they look like a monkey's been hacking at them with a chisel) so I'll probably change them soon.
Luckily the garage was very friendly and apart from sorting the driveshafts on the spot, didn't bother with an emissions test or the headlight aim as they could see there was no need/point respectively.

Well done getting the car through the MOT .I know that when I took My Grinnall Scorpion to its first MOT that the tester spent more time talking about the car than he did testing it,probably stalling for time so that he could work out where to start !
The indicator lenses were hanging off that's all.a small nut fell off the back ,I have some tape around it until I get round to replacing the nut.

Just got back!
Took it to the MOT garage and...
...they looked at it...
...then looked at it a bit more...
...they laughed...
...they chatted to all their mates from the rest of the garages in the 'arches' that came to have a look...
...they asked me a few of the usual of the what'll-it-do-mister type questions...
...the tester took down the chassis number...
...went into the office, filled in the form and signed and stamped it...
...er...
...and that's it.
They didn't touch anything mechanical, didn't even switch on the ignition.
Top stuff!
