I am at a Y junction, Noble or Atom. Who has driven both ?
Im comming of a superbike and just want a toy. Problem is the wind and water in the Atom.
Any wise advice?

Haven't been in an Noble, but it will be much more civilised, quieter, more comfy and a million times less exciting.

Grab a ride in an Atom from someone on www.atomclub.com/forum and you'll get one. Guarentee it!

Having owned litre sports bikes, barrelling down a country lane in a supercharged Atom is much more of an adrenaline hit - feels every bit as fast too!

If it's an only car, go for the Noble though.

Apart from both being very fast cars, I think the two are very different, so you need to think about what you want from them.

I own an Atom and love it. I had a friend who owned a Noble and he wasn't too fussed about it. The Atom is generally very reliable and needs little maintenance. Apparently owning a Noble requires you to have a good tool kit wink

The experience between the 2 is very different - Atom is completely open, exhilarating & visceral. It's very exploitable and (relatively) easy to get to know & enjoy. The Noble is a bit trickier to exploit, but being closed cockpit, it’s more cosseting and your wife is more likely to want a ride in it (good or bad thing, you decide).

My passenger seat is always available to any Midlands based PH’ers who want to know what an Atom is really like!

Atom ownership for me was a love hate relationship. I can't tell you how many times I cursed that vehicle. When I was wet, when i was bloody cold , and especially when that bloody helmet misted-up!

But, and it's a massive but , when the weather was right and the road clear, I can honestly say that I have never experienced anything more exhilarating, more demanding than driving an Atom.

So much so that I'm waiting for a nice Atom 3 245 to hit the market so I can snap it up!

Have owned both. Owned Atom 2 300 for 3 years at the same time as Owning Duke 1098s. Loved every moment of the Atom fast, fun and pretty cheap to run. Sold it last year to buy Noble M400 but have just sold it after 10 months. Goodish Car but felt slow after Atom could never get close to advertised figures and not good value for money. Buy the Atom its Awesome would keep up with Duke in straight line and destroy it on the bends. Cheers

I'm sort of at the same junction...currently have a 380bhp Noble GTO3 that I've had for 5 years and has been brilliant..totally reliable and a great all round car. Have been looking at other options including a SC atom but having done a 2.5k mile european jaunt in December I'm wondering how much I'd use the car because of the weather against the performance/experience tradeoff. I need to have a go in one and work this out...

The Atom 300 was my main car covering about 10,000 miles a year. Drove 1,300 miles in one day from Surrey and ended up in Slovakia it rained all day but got there still smiling. Do drive the 2 as well as the 3 do actually think the 2 is more fun a bit more of an animal. Have fun

I'm another thinking along the same lines of going from my M400 to an Atom 245/300. As said above though, the Noble is a surprisingly good all-rounder considering its performance, and it worries me exactly how often I'd use the Atom.

I'm just across in Redditch, so certainly not far! Feel free to drop me a PM to discuss a suitable play-day smile

hard choice, both the noble and atom are well known for their handiling and speed, the more sofisticated option would be a noble. Many atom's hold their price well, but noble m12s can be had for less than 20 grand now.
