Simple answer is, place an order for a new one with the factory and buy the second hand one now, to get you through the wait.
Lead time on a new car was quoted at 18 months recently, so work on 20 months minimum. Depreciation is virtually zero so you'll be able to move it on with minimal losses when the new one arrives. Providing you care for it, that is.

Hi dude
My advise would be go for a 245 will sell much easyer than a 300 and will get you used to the car.
Also go on to the aaoc web site www.atomclub.com lot of info on here.
If you do go for a second hand one phone the factory and ask then if they know about the car ie service history etc and it is worth getting the car down to them for a full check and honnest atom owner will be glad to have it done. If they dont walk away this could save you £££££££££. #
