I seriously think nick reads stuff on ph and then relays it to his mates to try and sound like he is some super car enthusiast genius, then comes back to pistonheads when he gets called stupid by his real life friends just like he does on here.Nickthebassist said:
Came up in discussion the other day that the Atom weighs 500kg, with, in some cases, a 2 litre engine. So that'll mean it'll do about 40mpg right? So it goes like stink and doesn't cost much to run?
Running costs should not be the top of your priorities if you are buying a car without windows, doors or a roof. Its hardly likely to be your main daily driver is it?As a daily driver I'd recommend a mondeo, if you can't afford one then perhaps a bmw as a long distant second best.

Y'see the thing is with these atoms, is when they're not trying to form with another atom to produce a hitherto unknown compound they're fending off poor builders trying to turn them into scaffolding.
For the record, i don't drive a Mondeo, or a BMW, but i feel i would prefer a flinstone style BMW to the 2.3t mondeo i drove the other day

And i'd dearly love an atom, i'm currently working towards the scaffold poles
