Fish picked his Atom up on Friday, I'm going for my first drive in it, in a short while, as a passenger though, I don't fancy driving it

Beautiful day for it, bit chilly though

Congratulations. Here is the club site www.atomclub.com/ and you can get to the Atom forum from there.

We need all the details and some photos. Was it new, (if so did you drive it back from th factory, spec, colour, etc.

Congratulations!

It's an awesome machine!

Posting pictures to the new forum is to say the least - a total pain until you know how, even then it's bloody awful

Have fun

Don't agree. It's harder here as you actually have to type the rules either side of the link. On the Atom site you just press a button and it inserts the rules and you paste the link in between the rules.

Do you still need to host them on a website first?

Yes, but that's true for both sites.

First of all you have to resize the pictures to meet the upload criteria of the gallery. Quite frankly the process is not at all intuitive. Just look at the number of posts asking how it's done. I know people send pictures to you John to upload them on their behalf - I get the same. In fact, you have sent pictures to me in the past John to upload for you

If you want to know how slick uploading pictures should be, try eBay, my 14 year old daughter managed it with out any help.

Nope, learning doesn't have to be difficult with the right tools.

Your comments in this thread seem to be aimed at the club site gallery which is a pain as the photo has to be below a certain size, so most people have to resize it first. This is the part I did not initially understand. But to post a picture to this forum and the Atom form are about the same.

I also think ebay would be dead in the water without photos so they have invested a lot of time and "background" technology getting this as simple as possible for the majority of non computer literate ebay users. Photos are not what forums are about it's chat so they have not spent the time investing in this technology. Although that will change I am sure. PH now has a "TV channel".
